David Del Testa
David Del Testa is an assistant professor of Modern European History at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. He received his Ph.D. in History in March 2001 from the University of California at Davis. Currently, Del Testa is in the process of revising his dissertation, entitled “‘Paint the Trains Red’: Labor, Nationalism, and the Railroads in French Colonial Indochina, 1898-1945″ into a book manuscript. He is also preparing a journal article on the 1937 strike of railroad workers at the Truong Thi railroad workshops in Vinh, north-central Vietnam and revising an online primary source for classroom use drawn from the 1943 diary of a young Franco-Vietnamese woman from Hanoi.
